その頃はモー娘。全盛期でテレビから聞こえるのは元気でキャピキャピした女の子の歌ばかりだったんですよね。そのせいか女の子は明るく元気でなくちゃ、たくさん恋をして綺麗にならないといけないわ☆みたいな先入観があった私にとって自立した大人の女性を描いたこの曲は革命的だったのです。

今でこそフェミニストやフェムテックという言葉が浸透しているけど、それよりずっと前にこんな歌を書いていたビヨンセ姫にリスペクトが止まりません。
